The Old Man and the Sea

With their rows to their side,
They paddled through the rivers of the crocodile city
The air was not too cold
The air had weight with calm
Their hats shaking with balance intact
Through the trees of soul
To the settling soil dappled with white blue
Their way forward was only too clear

Pride or Respect

When pride fails, the king heart goes aging
Like he never had a crown before
When you get lost in questions,
You forget the view in front holds like any other
My crown has fallen, broken, shattered
So I learned, time my teacher
And he told me with harshness
“Respect is when you give from both sides
Pride doesn’t hold ground when bruises are shown off”

Sometimes the young run too fast
So far ahead, some go dreaming
When life hits on the head
The pain forms a throbbing
Head ache some say
And then you realize one must tie loose ends
Another day back making marks and scars

Mr CARMACK – p.y.p (carmack edit)

Peace Go With You

As we go through the struggles of life
Let’s journey with peace by our side
Though we may become the struggle
Let’s light up that genuine hope
That one substance, that one sustenance
That gives bread and balance
Even when life shakes
Even when argument ensues
Even when turmoil is spread
Live in peace, give out peace
Mistakes are made, no doubt
But brother, lay down your battle axe
And flow with the rivers leading back home

I am the star, the sign that reads: free
To live in peace, I am the voice I need
So I say, rivers of my father
Take me home to the place of rest
To the place where I may regain strength

The Stone Age of the Internet

When the moment is silent

The world refuses to sleep

Humans all awake, beings restless

The Age of the Internet has most sleepless

We’re all there amidst the skies

We’re all there amidst the fire

All gathered, all joined by the force of life

The Age of the Internet has cured the curse of time: distance

Yet, here we are failing to meet eyes

Yet, here we are failing to connect minds

Like a high school, timid girls and boys afraid for a dance

So across the hall, though gathered, far apart we stay

Though gathered, words fail us, so the rift continues

This era when wounds should heal faster

This era when rivers apart should come closer

Oh, this era when understanding should make sense

Maybe this rift exist because not everyone’s fully connected

Soon very soon, from the south to the north, east to the west

The rest will come through these doors and then

Maybe then we all will finally use this gift to find tomorrow

Now and the End

The fight was long
The battle even longer
Warriors lost in the month of May
Lives lost in worth and meaning
But in all, a path was shown, a road for all

So, here’s the blade of faith
Grab it and cut me loose
I see you, you see me
There’s no more pretense

Here’s the blade
Take it and leave me be
I see you, you see me
In blood, my price was paid for

Haunted by pain and fear
Without a means, I was left to die
My life has no value around here, I see
It never did, really, especially around these paths

So here’s my receipt
It says my soul’s been paid for
Courage now holds me strong
There’s no more going back
The season of my life has now begun
How good will it go?
Hell, I don’t know
How well the road ahead?
God, I pray smooth

NO CHURCH IN THE WILD (II)

Now you seek my ones while they’re young
Plastering their faces all over, palaces and places
Begging for things that never see the light of day
You call it charity, I call it one big fraud school,
I see you came with food and drinks
Still, you refuse to leave me immortality
That one tool I need to move further
Further into the rising of the sun

By the words of my dead ones
By the blood stains left on young sleeves
I swear to this life that holds me ransom to fight for soul
This life man has decided to use for deception
So I ask truthfully? Heart to heart, eye to eye, soul to soul
Where’s the house, that place meant for gathering?
It’s all gone, burnt down to the ground
Replaced with bellies bellowing for sugar
By the words of my voice, I swear
I refuse to bow down to your empty roar
Only people seasoned with days know the place
The place where the sheep goes to warn the rest about the wickedness of man
I refuse to hold true those beliefs of lies
Lies, you print in books, limiting my people’s mind
Yeah, it’s all true those lies you print, but
The time has come to celebrate our arising
We’re awakened, and we’re never holding back the truth

NO CHURCH IN THE WILD (I)

It’s hard to hold back tears during these times I live in
The pain that holds me at night shows me
The cries of young ones paraded through the news
What’s more important?
Their souls? Or your polls and ratings?
Tell me cube-box man, and as you do, rid the pretense you wear
I did not fly from the land of earth to see another deceit coated with gold
Those souls you parade as your prize
Are they worth the shame you bring on them?
Their lives as movies, their voices lost in the sounds of doom
Moments they exist in, washed – rearranged to fit your screen
Like black on black
White on white, right!
If you show me your own heart
I’ll show you my mine
That one side you refuse to show
One sided: face of death, that’s all you show
But you forget, we all know two-face survived that night
Alive and willing to show all his burns and scars
Though his ways are seen as dirt and mud
Still he shows all the sides we humans wear
Inwards and outwards, full blown
